Help us end Victoria’s wombat carnage
Victoria’s wombats are in crisis. Not only are licences to kill thousands of wombats issued every year, but wombats are considered ‘unprotected’ in a staggering 193 Victorian parishes – meaning they can be shot without regulatory oversight.
While there are some caveats around firearms that can be used and who is able to do the shooting, the level of suffering and paucity of justification makes such conditions woefully inadequate.
We know that most of the destruction is occurring out of sight on private land - it’s an unacceptable situation and we need your help to put an end to it.
