Transporting sheep vast distances to be slaughtered in the Middle East is cruel.
There is no getting around it. The journeys are gruelling and sheep routinely die in terrible circumstances.
Yet the Australian government continues to allow it, and flout regulations that have been put in place to protect sheep from suffering during the high risk northern summer period.
There is simply no way to make the mass export of live animals over long distances humane. Tell the Federal Agriculture Minister you want to see an end to live sheep exports.
